Note: This "now" page is not just what I'm doing right now. Instead, the way I'm using it I should probably call it "recently" or something. Basically - what I've done/read/listened/watched/etc. this month.

What I'm doing

Back from a holiday. Still cleaning and sorting stuff. Hopefully back to a regular schedule in a few days.

What I'm reading

  • Flow my tears, the policeman said (1974; Philip Kindred Dick)

    • It was decent but nothing special.

  • Intermezzo (2024; Sally Rooney)

    • Half way there. I've enjoyed Sally's writing before, and I'm really enjoying my time reading Intermezzo.

  • How to read a book: the classic guide to intelligent reading (1972; Mortimer Jerome Adler, Charles van Doren)

    • Just started this.

  • BURO, Issue #10

    • Local lifestyle magazine, or something along those lines. There were some interesting pieces in this issue.

  • A bunch of random blog posts and essays.

    • I finally started using Readeck. It is awesome. The fact that it exposes OPDS catalogue means that I can sync blogs to my KOReader (on a Kobo device), and then use e-reader for all the reading.

    • TODO: I think I'll create a new page here or something, where I'll just dump monthly reads directly from Readeck.

What I'm listening

  • i feel like rob pike (2026; hgc)

    • Song for the latest 9front release. Slaps!

  • King of having fun (2026; Medium Build)

    • Single from an upcoming album (September 4th maybe?).

  • St. Matthew Passion (Johann Sebastian Bach, Netherlands Bach Society)

  • L'Orfeo (Claudio Giovanni Antonio Monteverdi)

    • Unfortunately I don't know what orchestra is performing it. Old file. Still great though.

  • You want it darker (2016; Leonard Cohen)

  • Thanks for the dance (2019; Leonard Cohen)

  • Random singles:

    • Aurora (2025; z++, Hiljson Mandela)

    • ludi vjetar (2024; z++)

    • na pustom otoku (2024; z++, tam)

    • sedmo nebo (2023; z++)

    • Sante (2026; Grše, Miach)

    • And a few others I've lost track of. I got hook on these after listening to an acoustic covers of some of these tracks by some very dear friends. Fun!

What I'm watching

  • Growing a language (1998; Guy Lewis Steele Jr.)

    • I was talking with a friend of mine about some memorable talks (presentations?) I've watched over the years, and as a consequence, I re-watched some of them.

      • TODO: I'm probably going to make a post with a collection of all these great presentations I still think about.

  • Hamlet (2018; starring Andrew Scott)

    • I've started this one, but things got in the way, so I'm going to try again this weekend, probably. The part I watched was absolutely great. Andrew Scott is just amazing, as per usual.

  • Parthenope (2024; Paolo Sorrentino)

    • Again, I started watching this one with friends, but we all got distracted...

  • Otvorena vrata (1994; Miloš Radović, Biljana Srbljanović)

    • Old TV series. Fave of mine. Watches a few episodes with dear friends.
